Optifog - Lens Product of the Year
|
We are very proud to announce that Optifog lenses were awarded the much coveted title of ‘Optical Product of the Year’ at the 2012 Optician Awards ceremony in London.
A revolutionary technology that just got better
A real scientific breakthrough, Optifog lenses prevent spectacles from
steaming up, thanks to a hydrophilic layer which simultaneously offers
the same anti-glare, anti-dust and anti-scratch and since the 1st March,
the same UV properties as Crizal Forte UV. The lenses are used in
conjunction with an activator that prevents fog from appearing for up to
a week.
Essilor’s Head of Marketing, Justin Rocyn-Jones comments “The launch of
Optifog to the UK market was supported with a huge consumer PR campaign,
which attracted a lot of media interest and did a great job in raising
consumer awareness. Since launch last October Optifog has already
undergone a technological leap forwards with the addition of Crizal UV,
making it one of the safest lenses a practitioner can dispense”.

Stop the fog
Cooking is one of the many daily
situations where steamed up glasses can affect the clear vision of
spectacles wearers. It’s annoying, it’s inconvenient and it’s unsightly.
We invited top celebrity chef
James Martin and cooking school guru Nigel Brown to put the lenses
through their paces* in a steamy kitchen. Take a look at our 4 minute
video and see foe yourself just how good they are!

*Please note that this film is a demonstration and not a product endorsement.
